ENCOUNTER DESIGNER
Working with Combat, Level Design, and many other teams, I brought fights from ideation to iteration to shipped product. The fights I am most proud of are the Ring of Fire Muspelheim Challenge, the Animal Instincts encounters, the Raven Keeper boss fight, the Muspelheim realm, and the Remnants of Asgard challenge encounters. As well, I was one half of the pair that led to the completion of the Tyr's Prison hidden level.
Primarily I am well-known for crafting challenging and fair encounters that drive players to success. Additionally, I brought life to the Nine Realms through enemy positioning, spawning, and bespoke patrol path scripting.

Working to establish new norms within pre-existing systems, I developed the random encounter system that would form the backbone of the Valhalla DLC. Creating upwards of one hundred unique, finely tuned encounter setups for many arenas both old and new, it was the challenge of the DLC to create an engaging experience that kept fatigue to a minimum.
From initial greybox passes of the encounter system to maintaining the iterative process of encounters tuning through an Excel bible, I was proud to hold the reins of the majority of the fights and fight spaces within the Valhalla DLC.
I am incredibly proud of what the team was able to create within such a short period and it could never have happened without the intensely positive collaboration of seasoned professionals only possible within Santa Monica Studio.
